We Make Cool Things in Lotte, Germany: Smart Energy & Thermal Solutions

At our Lotte, Germany, site, innovation is engineered into every process. How? The answer lies in a blend of automation, expertise and a real drive to deliver quality at scale.

As one of Honeywell’s largest European manufacturing hubs and a global leader in industrial combustion, the site also serves as a competence center for residential gas measurement. Here, residential gas meter production is optimized through automation, going through 30 steps with a mix of human interaction and automated processes. 

On the Honeywell Thermal Solutions side, the team produces over 50,000 different products at the site, enabled by process reliability through digitalization and automation. 

The thermal solutions research and development department at the site is focused on transferring industrial heat to non-fossil fuels, including hydrogen.
