Honeywell's Chief Digital Technology Officer Sheila Jordan explains why the pandemic accelerated the push toward digital.

As the coronavirus spread around the world, our Chief Digital Technology Officer Sheila Jordan had to lead the shift of tens of thousands of employees to work from home.

That required making assessments about digital infrastructure such as distributing laptops across 83 countries and scaling VPN technology. “It really required us to redesign the network in eight days,” Sheila said.  

As a result, digital transformation efforts rapidly accelerated. Sheila sheds light on what went on behind the scenes and where the future of information technology is headed.
