What technologies, products, solutions or services do you work on?
I am responsible for the value engineering and research and development project management office for our Energy and Sustainability Solutions business. We help find more efficient ways of making our existing products and make sure our new product development stays on schedule. We focus on energy process technology, equipment and services.
What inspired you to pursue a career in engineering?
I wanted to help people and make the world a better, safer place for future generations. I care a lot about the environment, so I pursued a degree in chemical engineering and completed my PhD in nanobattery research.
What's the coolest thing you get to do in your job?
I love getting to collaborate with people across the organization and across the world to solve tough problems. That feeling you get when you reach a solution is incredible.
What’s your advice for aspiring engineers?
My advice would be to stay flexible to new opportunities. Look at your skill set and figure out what you're missing and focus on finding experiences that will help fill in those gaps. You'll become a more well-rounded engineer, and it'll help you learn where you want to take your next step.
