    Meet a #futureshaper: Mohamed Moselhy

Here’s how he makes cities smarter

Since he was a child, Mohamed Moselhy always wanted to be an engineer.

He wanted to help change the world to be a better place.

Now, he does just that as a leader for smart cities and protecting critical infrastructure in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa.

Based in Dubai; here is his #futureshaper story.

Where did you go to school? What did you study?

I studied electronics and electrical communications engineering at Cairo University.

    What brought you to Honeywell?

I was in the defense business and worked with Honeywell on one project, then, two years later, I got the opportunity to join Honeywell. What attracted me was the great company culture.

What gets you excited about going to work every day?

The talented team we have at Honeywell, achieving great things every day through collaboration and planning for the future.

    What do you do?

I work with cities and critical infrastructure customers to develop strategies and solutions required for our cities to become smarter while using advanced technology to protect our people and assets.

What advice would you give someone who wants to follow in your footsteps?

Nothing is impossible, especially when it comes to technology. Always believe you are capable of anything, stay persistent on seeing things through to the end. Dream and follow your dream.

When you are not working, what do you do for fun?

I watch soccer, travel, read articles and spend time with my family.
