Russia is currently Honeywell's largest national market within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). All three major Honeywell Strategic Groups are represented: Aerospace, Automation and Control Solutions and Performance Materials and Technologies.
Honeywell provides product and service solutions that improve efficiency and profitability -- including automation and energy-efficient solutions for homes, buildings and industries, as well as industrial security solutions.
Honeywell automation systems and UOP technologies are implemented at Russia's largest oil refineries. The Company's equipment is also present at the State Hermitage, Bolshoi Theater, Christ the Savior Cathedral, and the Kremlin. Russian aircraft and helicopters also use Honeywell auxiliary power units, brakes, and avionics. Honeywell humidity sensors are implemented at the majority of meteorological probes in Russia.
Honeywell opened a representation office in Moscow in 1974 and currently has regional offices in St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Astrakhan, Ekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Novorossiysk, Samara, Tyumen, Khabarovsk and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, as well as in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.
