Honeywell has been present in Uzbekistan since 1998. With offices in Tashkent, it has more than 50 engineers that provide world-class engineering support across CIS, the Middle East , and Africa. In 2010 , Honeywell opened a training center at Tashkent State Technical University. The center provides training and laboratory experience in industrial and process engineering for university students and Honeywell employees. Honeywell automation control systems are installed in a number of large-scale projects implemented in Uzbekistan, including the Bukhara Refinery (OZH and technological part), Fergana Refinery (hydrosulphurization installment of diesel fuel), the Shurtan Gas-chemical Complex (control systems), water treatment facilities in Takhiatash, the Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-China gas pipeline, the Navoi power station, and the Tashkent airport.
