Finding of Suitability for Early Transfer for the Bannister Federal Complex (FOSET)
Text Size:

Under Section 120 of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), federal agencies are allowed to transfer property before all necessary cleanup actions have completed. In this case, the Governor of the State of Missouri must concur with the deferral request for property not listed on the National Priorities List (NPL). Below are the documents associated with early transfer.

A public comment period is scheduled to begin May 5, 2017 and end June 19, 2017.  Please submit comments related to the FOSET to KCPFOSETComments@kcp.com or U.S. Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration, 14520 Botts Road, Kansas City, MO 64147, ATTN: FOSET.
