Description of Current Conditions Report
This is a copy of Description of Current Conditions Report (DCCR), originally received by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) on March 25, 2013, from the Kansas City Field Office (KCFO) for the Bannister Federal Complex (BFC) pursuant to the Modified Missouri Hazardous Waste Management Facility Permit (MO9890010524).
The DCCR and supporting documents are being made available on this website solely for informational purposes, and the State of Missouri and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are not actively soliciting public comments on these documents.
The DCCR has been addressed by MDNR and EPA through their review, comment, revision and approval of individual sections. Revisions to the narrative of the DCCR were made as a result of addressing these comments. The narrative provided here is the final approved narrative of the report.

*Section 11 of the DCCR addressed targeted areas of the BFC where environmental information may have been lacking creating uncertainty on the potential presence, nature and extent of contamination. As a result of these potential data gaps, additional data review and/or fieldwork was conducted to address and close these perceived gaps. These efforts are provided in the section called Data Gap Closure. All of the data gap closure efforts have been performed to the satisfaction DNR and EPA with the exception of work performed at the Former Landfill on the GSA portion of the BFC. This site remains under investigation under the Formerly Utilized Defense Sites (FUDS) Program. All other gap closure efforts are complete.
