Part of our dedication to our communities is reaching out to the next generation of Kansas City Plant scientists and engineers. We support science and math education through a variety of ways-whether it be financing an exhibit at Science City or sending engineers to school career days. Following are brief descriptions of some of our education outreach efforts.

Bring an Engineer to Class
		Teachers at greater Kansas City area elementary, middle and high schools are welcome to invite a Honeywell engineer into the classroom to provide hands-on demonstrations and to talk about careers in engineering.

FIRST Robotics Competition
		In constructing a robot, FIRST Robotics teaches students how to solve engineering design problems in an interesting and competitive way.

FMA Live!
		Honeywell and NASA partnered in 2003 to create FMA Live!. The program is part of Honeywell Hometown Solutions.

Honeywell Educators at Space Academy Scholarship
		Honeywell believes developing a new generation of scientists begins in the classroom. That's why the company created the Honeywell Educators at Space Academy scholarship program.

Honeywell Scholars at Presidential Classroom
		Honeywell created the Honeywell Scholars program to help students understand the key role that government plays in scientific discovery and innovation.

Science Knowledge Bowl
		The National Science Bowl®is a highly visible educational event and academic competition among teams of high school students.

Science Olympiad
		Science Olympiad [http://www.soinc.org] is a rigorous academic interscholastic competition covering a wide range of science disciplines.

Science Pioneers
		Science Pioneers [http://www.spioneers.org] creates innovative and supportive educational activities that encourage the youth of Greater Kansas City to understand and use science in their careers and everyday life.

SkillsUSA
		SkillsUSA [http://www.skillsusa.org/] is a national organization serving teachers and high school and college students who are preparing for careers in technical, skilled and service occupations.
