Overview

Honeywell Romania’s activities have grown significantly in recent years – from the standpoint of the range and quality of services that are provided to customers. Sector operations include Automation and Control Solutions, and Transportation Systems. These activities employ a total of approximately 1,300 people. As part of the Company’s Design for Growth program, Honeywell is developing its Project Excellence Center for Large Projects in Romania.

The Automation and Control Solutions Group operates a Life Safety product plant in Lugoj. Sales, operations, engineering, maintenance, R&D, as well as shared regional customer services are provided out of the Bucharest Head Office. The Transportation Systems Group offers turbocharger systems for transportation that are manufactured in Bucharest plant Honeywell Garrett. This manufacturing facility also houses global support services, including Worldwide and European Finance, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, SupplyChain, SupplyBase, HR, Quality Control, and Information Technology under Honeywell International Services. Honeywell Life Safety Solutions - including Fire Alarm Systems, Electro-Acoustic Emergency Warning Systems (voice alarms) and Public Address Systems under the “Esser by Honeywell” trademark, as well as Life Care Systems under the “Ackermann by Honeywell” trademark - are distributed by Honeywell Life Safety Austria in Austria and throughout the Eastern Europe region.
