Honeywell to Repair, Overhaul Auxiliary Power Units for 27
Aircraft
SINGAPORE, Feb. 2, 2010 -- Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced today that it
has extended an agreement with Vietnam Airlines to provide Auxiliary Power Unit
(APU) repair and overhaul services for its fleet of 27 aircraft for three more
years. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
“The agreement provides Vietnam with consistent, predictable expenses over the
next three years,” said Mike Madsen, vice president of Airlines at Honeywell
Aerospace. “Honeywell’s service centers will allow Vietnam to concentrate on
flying while customers enjoy the comfort and dispatch reliability that
Honeywell APUs provide.”
The agreement covers 36-300, 331-350, 36-150RR and 331-500 APUs on two Fokker
70s, ten Airbus A320s, five Airbus A330s and ten Boeing 777s.
